The reviews of Old Time Relijun's last four albums by the adjective-experts over at Pitchfork have collectively described their songs as "bizarre avant-blues dirges" and "warped hillbilly booty jams," "sounding at times like Yoko Ono conjoining with Tom Waits and Jad Fair to painstakingly rewrite the Jesus Lizard back catalog as countrified scrawl." We don't know about you, but they had us at "booty jams."
Join Myopenbar for an intimate, inebriated night of genre-bending musicianship in a former Brooklyn schoolhouse. A special guest will open for K Records' Old Time Reljun and the New Jerk Times will extend the night's saxophone-tinged debauchery all the way to surf punk. If we're lucky, Arrington de Dionyso will wear his short-shorts again.
