That's right. We're over it.
For 7 years, we've set bad precedents, partied hard and generally sucked the city's proverbial teat like that 4-year-old on the cover of Time. Our social status has risen so much as a result of this gag, we now go exclusively to better, invite-only parties, ones we can't tell you about. Cheers, though!
In remembrance, a list of some of our favorite parties we threw to promote the site, over the years:
- 2007: That Halloween loft party with the giant laser-eyed skull pinata
- 2008: New Year's Eve party with Yeasayer in a private house
- 2008: A sweltering night with Girls in Bushwick
- 2009: 40-band Four Square Punk round-robin party in Austin
- 2009: Surfer Blood, JEFF the Brotherhood, and Screaming Females, above an auto parts store
- 2010: That Sleigh Bells show where M.I.A. came out as a surprise performer
